Stephanie Cirigliano Intern

1. What were some lasting impressions that LCO and the staff have left you with?

I liked that the office was smaller so the employees all collaborated with each other often. It made it easier for me as an intern to open up and ask questions when needed. Everyone in the office was very easy to get along with and were always available to help me. They were also very encouraging and often praised interns who completed projects exceptionally. They gave interns the room to perform for themselves and take action.

2. Do you think that LCO provided you with skills that will help you in PR as well as other fields? If so, please give some examples.

LCO gave me the opportunity to learn to network and to be proactive about keeping contact lists current. This will be very important in any career I choose in the future. LCO also showed me how to write proper pitches when introducing a new client to media outlets.

3. How was the working environment at LCO during your internship?

I really enjoyed the atmosphere at LCO. I was able to coordinate with my fellow interns and with the staff. Everyone was friendly and the staff never bombarded interns with too many projects at once. It was a stress free environment where we could develop the skills needed to succeed as actual publicists.

4. Did you feel that LCO tried to accommodate your needs with school and other activities?

Since I had already graduated, this doesn't apply to me for school but the staff understood if you had to meet other obligations.

5. Would you recommend LCO to others for an internship? Why or why not?

Yes, I would recommend LCO to others and actually have already. I think LCO is a great place to learn proper publicist skills if this is the career you are choosing to follow.
